Here we are, in the age of abundance, information, social media, space, globalism and many more; for these marvels we have the peak of deprivation, consequently golden age of stupidity as well. It’s not a surprise that the opportunities came with a price. The ease brought us falling behind, the comfort made us bedridden. The pleasures made us pleasure seekers, and noneseeker of other activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cComfort kills ambition. Get uncomfortable and get used to it in your pursuit of your goals and dreams.\u201d<\/p>\nRobert T. Kiyosaki<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Life isn’t about comfort, it’s about discomfort, discomfort to create, challange, achivement, the experience. We don’t live for the ease, we live for the hardship. We always adjust the difficulty to a higher level in games, daily events or any challange; just to overcome it. You won’t see any gamer playing in too easy setting for them, it’d be a bore. We want to be challanged by higher goals, by that we feel we’re alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must determine where you are going in your life, because you cannot get there unless you move in that direction. Random wandering will not move you forward. It will instead disappoint and frustrate you and make you anxious and unhappy and hard to get along with (and then resentful, and then vengeful, and then worse).\u201d<\/p>\nJordan Peterson<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Men from all ages called their contemporary culture as stupid, degenerate, decadent; and here we’re calling our age as the same. We may always be at a peak in a long-established stupidity, because of increasing claim that we’re smart, we’re superrior. It seems odd, since we don’t have any other reference than ourselves. The stupidity of the smartness claim requires us to call ourselves the most stupid when we claim it the most. Why do we need such a claim? Why do we have the feeling that we’re better in living conditions, we live a better life than the past ones? This seems like a defence mechanism, a sublimation of our own identity construct. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden age of stupidity originates from the false perception of intelligence and development. We may never know what development actually is, other than human self-deception. We may never know what is good or bad or advantageous as long as we’re self referenced. We have to be neutral as much as possible. And if anyone claims to be superior, we have to ask “superior for what?” One can only be superior in stupidity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A long time ago, a poor Chinese farmer lost a horse, and all the neighbors came around and said, \u201cwell that\u2019s too bad.\u201d The farmer said, \u201cmaybe.\u201d Shortly after, the horse returned bringing another horse with him, and all the neighbors came around and said, \u201cwell that\u2019s good fortune,\u201d to which the farmer replied, \u201cmaybe.\u201d The next day, the farmer\u2019s son was trying to tame the new horse and fell, breaking his leg, and all the neighbors came around and said, \u201cwell that\u2019s too bad,\u201d and the farmer replied, \u201cmaybe.\u201d Shortly after, the emperor declared war on a neighboring nation and ordered all able-bodied men to come fight\u2014many died or were badly maimed, but the farmer\u2019s son was unable to fight and spared due to his injury. And all the neighbors came around and said, \u201cwell that\u2019s good fortune,\u201d to which the farmer replied, \u201cmaybe.\u201d And so the story goes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The age which we’re able to so many things actually made us unable. We’re spoiled rich kids of Animalia, feeling entitled to anything in nature. We lack the responsibility of being a part of nature. We destroy the other parts like they’re made for us. We travel lavishly, spend exceedingly. Exclusive and expensive hobbies take much of our time, we don’t appreciate the rights of the other beings; worse, we think it’s the age of opportunity, intelligence, development… This can only be an age of stupidty, any species that does it would meet with its doom. They should be reminded that they’re just “a part.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
