In the beginning of humanity there seems to be most talented in hunting was to rule. After settling in villages, the farmer took the lead. The warriors came afterwards, due to need of their skill in a warring environment. The clerks, aka. book keepers came through systematic religion. They were the holders of power in many states. The biggest states were ruled by a mix of these social classes. Now we have politician as a profession, and they’re ruled by traders.
The problem with traders is they have wealth as a weapon. Any social class has weapons, yet money is a vile weapon; especially when you print it out of thin air. This may mean an endless abuse of power. It harms traders as well but they won’t notice the danger. Money is like magic, it’s actually magical; it enforces your will onto others without effort. We say without effort because all plutocracy do is to play with money mechanics, without interfering in issues all over the world.
Through magic, we’ve spent the irreplaceable natural resources. One should keep in mind that unlike the fairy tales; real world takes its tolls. You don’t get something for nothing in the physical world. If you’re to make a monetary system without founding it onto natural resources that you cannot survive without, you’ll starve.
It’s practically true that people exhaust the resources and apply to reason, in other words “thinkers”. It’s obvious that when there isn’t an exploitable power, unenlightened people take charge. When there is power available, opportunists take the head.
When opportunities, nature and assets are irreversibly spent, we will appeal to thinking people to solve it. It’s not that philosophers or clerks want to rule, but humanity will eventually resort to the ideal people whose duty is to rule, to decide, to apply the wisdom they have. Their maturity, authority and capability requires them to rule. On the other hand, they rarely rule in good times, because good times don’t require effort to handle. It’s a pity we understand the value of good people in bad times.
It seems economic and enviromental issues are ahead. And only a different mindset other than the ruling class will be able to fix it. Unfortunately, we still have class sttruggle in the 21st century, humanity is far beyond its ideal structure. We’ll have to follow our desires to the end and then we’ll be able to create a stable system for ideal living. After traders and companies, who are the establishers of modern world; philosophers and idealist thinkers will establish the ideal, exalted system.
